On Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, 6:30 pm, join African Voices magazine, The Linyak Project & Sister’s Uptown Bookstore for a reading and booksigning for award-winning poet/author Quincy Troupe. He will read from his latest books Ghost Voices: A Poem In Prayer and Seduction. Angela Kinamore, AV’s Poetry Editor, will MC the celebration. Enjoy an evening of poetry, inspiration and books. Light refreshments served. This is a free event but donations are welcomed!
The event will be held at African Voices, 270 West 96 Street. Sister’s Uptown Bookstore is the official seller for the book celebration.

About the Author
Quincy Troupeis the author of 20 books, including 10 volumes of poetry and three children’s books. His awards include the Paterson Award for Sustained Literary Achievement, the Milt Kessler Poetry Award, three American Book Awards, the 2014 Gwendolyn Brooks Poetry Award, a 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award from Furious Flower and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History Award, January 25, 2018, in Detroit Michigan. His writings have been translated into over 30 languages. Troupe’s latest book of poems is Errançities (2012).
