Mariahadessa Ekere Tallie, former poetry editor at African Voices, will be reading from her poetry and prose at Bloom Readings on Sunday Jan 21 at 5PM. (Directions below.) A poet, essayist, educator and activist,Tallie is the author of the forthcoming “Strut” (Agape Editions), “Dear Continuum: Letters to a Poet Crafting Liberation” (Grand Concourse Press) and “Karma’s Footsteps” (Flipped Eye Publishing) and is widely published as a poet. She served as Poetry Editor of African Voices from 2013 to 2017. Established in 2011, Bloom Readings is a monthly series featuring diverse voices in poetry, fiction and non-fiction from established and emerging writers.
